As new messages arrive, Turbo Mode tracks the total count. Once it exceeds your configured threshold (default: 15 visible), it quietly takes action.

Older messages are moved out of the DOM
Messages beyond the visible window are removed from the page and held in a memory fragment. They're not deleted — just parked. Your browser stops having to process them on every interaction.

Built-in privacy

The extension can't see your conversations. By design.

Will this affect ChatGPT's responses or break anything?

No. Turbo Mode only changes which messages are visible in your browser — it never touches ChatGPT's data or API. Responses, memory, and conversation context all work exactly as normal. ChatGPT doesn't know the extension exists.

What happens to archived messages?

They're held in your browser's memory — not deleted, not sent anywhere, not altered. Tap "Show older messages" at any time to restore the full thread instantly. Nothing is ever lost.

What if OpenAI updates ChatGPT and something breaks?

We monitor ChatGPT's structure and push compatibility updates when needed. If an OpenAI update affects the extension, a fix will arrive automatically through Chrome's update system. Your license covers all future updates at no extra cost.

What happens when my trial ends?

The extension pauses and you'll see a prompt inside the popup. Your conversations aren't affected — ChatGPT still works normally, just without the performance optimization. Tap the upgrade link in the extension popup to complete a one-time purchase via Stripe, and you're reactivated instantly.
